‘Repaired’ VW cars still above NOx emissions limits

Nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions of a ‘repaired’ Audi Q5 were 25% higher than legal limits allow.

 

The Volkswagen Group is rolling out a recall to remove the fraudulent defeat devices from cars involved in the dieselgate scandal.

Italian consumer organisation Altroconsumo, a BEUC member, demands from the Italian government to make an immediate and thorough review of the technical solution proposed by the German automaker. Additionally, the Italian consumer watchdog demands that exemplary sanctions are imposed on VW for this serious and repeated unfair business practice towards consumers.

Altoconsumo demands that European consumers get proper compensation. Car owners in the US are being compensated with up to $10,000.
