There is much talk of building a digital single market for consumers. For this to happen it is essential that artificial borders are brought down, and that the costs for consumers of using the internet or making calls when abroad come to an end.

The EU has taken important steps to turn this into reality – as consumer organisations have for years insisted on the need to abolish roaming. Yet, some important obstacles still need to be removed to get to a real roaming charge-free European Union.

Together with our members we will continue to encourage policy-makers to tackle this issue.
