Energy consumer rights
About
When it comes to energy markets, incomprehensible bills, problems with switching between providers, difficulties in accessing redress or price comparison tools are still commonplace. New technological or market developments such as smart metering or ‘demand response’ offer new opportunities, but also new risks for consumers.
BEUC continues to look at how these new tendencies affect consumers’ situations and when new EU legislation is proposed BEUC works to ensure it creates more consumer welfare and expands their rights and protections.
