European legislators are currently overhauling telecoms legislation which will significantly modify the rights of European consumers.

The proposed Telecoms Single Market regulation, dubbed Connected Continent, addresses issues related to consumer contracts, roaming, cross-border calls and messaging and the right to access the open internet (aka, Net Neutrality).

BEUC has been seeking stronger consumer protection rules and the creation of new rights since its launch in September 2013 and are going to continue to do so as it trails its way through the institutions.
