Numerous complaints about the Sony Xperia Z led our Dutch member Consumentenbond to question if the phone has been designed in a durable way. The claims by Sony, which marketed the phone as having an exceptional performance and durability, seemed to be exaggerated as USB ports and the screen failed frequently already after a short usage time. The failures could have been avoided with a different design, such as a different USB connector or constructing the phone to be less bendable. Wasting resources today creates challenges for tomorrow.
