TACD event - The TTIP one year on: Consumers mean business

After a year of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations, the Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD) brings together high-level contributors representing government and civil society on both sides of the Atlantic to take stock and explore the implications for consumers and citizens.

Participants will hear from a wide range of the most influential voices in the TTIP, including both EU and U.S. Chief Negotiators: Dan Mullaney Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and Ignacio Garcia Bercero DG Trade, European Commission; Consumer and Civil Society advocates such as: Monique Goyens Director General of The European Consumer Organisation, Robert Weissman President of Public Citizen, Ed Mierzwinski Federal Consumer Program Director and Senior Fellow for U.S and Benedicte Federspiel Danish Consumer Council.

A comprehensive series of debates will cover key chapters of the proposed trade deal, including Investor-State Dispute Settlement, Regulatory Coherence, Financial Services, Health, Food and Nutrition, Chemicals Regulation, Data Protection and more.
