Ursula Pachl, who has been with BEUC for over 26 years, will step down from the position of Deputy Director General and leave the organisation at the end of this month.

Ursula joined BEUC in 1998 as a legal officer. Since 2010, she has been BEUC’s Deputy Director General, a position in which she was overseeing the organisation’s advocacy work on digital rights, consumer rights, enforcement. She has also led BEUC’s coordinated enforcement work and on horizontal topics such as EU governance and better regulation.

BEUC’s Secretariat and member organisations thank Ursula for her impressive contribution to the successes and increased legitimacy of the organisation. She leaves a strong legacy, especially in consumer law, digital rights and enforcement. We wish Ursula the best with her future endeavours.

Current Director General Monique Goyens is retiring this year. Agustin Reyna was recently appointed as BEUC’s Director General and will take over the organisation’s leadership on 15 June.
