BEUC NEWS - 18.12.2015

BEUC has published its Memorandum to the Dutch Presidency of the European Union, where we highlight the most pressing consumer expectations for the EU. We also provide concrete proposals and urge the Council of Ministers to legislate in favour of consumers.

During the Dutch Presidency, several of the European Commission’s flagship initiatives – notably the Digital Single Market strategy, the Energy Union and the Capital Markets Union – will materialise with concrete legislative proposals.

The upcoming Presidency will be the first to address some of the concrete measures stemming from the Digital Single Market strategy.

On December 16, we presented this Memorandum to the Dutch government, together with our Dutch member Consumentenbond. 

In particular, we draw attention to the initiatives below.
