Intelligent, self-learning machines and software will use the vast amounts of data generated by these devices to make decisions and perform actions without human oversight. This will have major implications about how consumers make choices, how they interact with companies and who will be responsible when things go wrong.
AI can increase convenience for consumers. The EU's role will be to find answers to the many challenges it will pose for European consumer rights.
